I absolutely do find all these shoes! I also make 100% sure they are actually abandoned and don’t belong to someone who is still using the beach. I photograph them just as I find them and for the most part I never touch them. Several times I have flipped the shoe or shoe-like object over to see what it was, and in those cases I’ve shown both photos in the post.
I think at times someone else has “staged” the shoe(s) before I got there, but I never do.
And yep, when I first thought of this blog, because I kept finding so many abandoned shoes and thought they needed photographing, I never expected that I would find so many shoes (or shoe-like objects).
